Here is my one layer, watercolor tree!! Last year, I fell in love with silver tip trees! I love the way the tree trunk shows through the needles!! So, I water-colored the tree, used a silver star sticker and Tim Holtz rub-ons. I used distress ink around the tree to give the watercolor paper a vintage feel. It is a challenge to not build layers because that is what I love to do when I create. But I loved the way I had to think ahead to build with one layer only!! Loved this challenge!
Love these trees!!
Love this tree! Thanks for sharing how you made it!
ReplyDeleteUnique tree, love the soft colors !
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely, soft look on your beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteI haven't ever heard of Silvertips before. They are certainly beautiful trees! Around here, we use whatever Ponderosa Pine we can find that has volunteered out in the pasture for a Christmas tree!!! lol....

I really like this card Karen, it has a vintage feel to it. These Christmas trees are cute, they look like Christmas trees USED to look like. My husband doesn't care for a sheared tree, he says they don't look like a "real tree", so we get one from our back pasture as well.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet card! Love your pretty tree!
