Monica's Birthday Link Up Party
Monica is turning 50 this month and she is hosting a blog link-up party!! She has some amazing prizes and this is going to be lots of fun!!
Here is my project that I was inspired by Monica's awesome mood board!
And here is a note from Monica!
I am turning 50 this month and I decided to celebrate all month long with all my crafty friends.
I told my husband I did not want a party...but I will throw a link up party and you are all invited.
Now I know I am supposed to get gifts for my birthday, but I thought it would be fun to GIVE some gifts as well as a thank you for all your support in my JOURNEY.
A few of my crafty friends have joined me early to help get the party started and give you some ideas for your link ups. Be sure to visit their blog and give them some love as well!
A few of my crafty friends have joined me early to help get the party started and give you some ideas for your link ups. Be sure to visit their blog and give them some love as well!
So we don't have any party fouls, here are the party rules:
1. Look at the mood board and find something that reminds you of a JOURNEY.
- A Journey through life
- Your Art Journey
- A Journey you recently took
2. Create a project. This can be a card, canvas or anything that inspires you and in any style.
3. Follow my blog (Taylor Made Cards 4U!)
4. Leave me a comment
I would also love it if you help me spread the word. Create a blog post using the graphic and a link back here. Don't forget to link your project for a chance to be entered into the drawing for my prize giveaways.

And here is my project!! I had the awesome chance to use Clarity Stamps Cockeral and Hen set! These stamps were super easy to use and made awesome crisp images. The set also comes with masks that I played with!
This project started with a piece of wood board and clear gesso. I used matt medium to 'glue' down the scrapbook paper to the board!
I found this textured cement finish paint in the clearance section at Target. It was really awesome looking and it is a great filler between the 'wood' panels of the barn!
I covered a brown paper bag with Crackle Paste and painted over it with Cranberry colored chalk paint!
The clarity stamps did a fantastic image on a variety of different scrapbook paper! I fussy cut the shapes out and used matte medium to attach them to the board!
These are the masks that came with the clarity set. They are reusable and really created a clear image!
I stamped the eggs on scrapbook paper and painted in the white!
